The Housemates

Me- Almost 22, Directionless but working on it. Chronically broke. Absent-minded and distracted by shiny things. Easygoing and often annoyingly objective. Usually emotionless and mostly bored. Admittedly addicted to cigarettes and marijuana. Somewhat disordered, but not really in an interesting or unique way. Quick to make a joke, but its usually filthy.

Exboy- 25. Our relationship lasted 4 years, and we have been broken up since October. We live together. He is still madly in love (breaking up was my idea) which makes our need to share a living space occasionally awkward and usually guilt ridden. Has spent most of the last two years unemployed, although started a job recently. A chronic procrastinator and compulsive liar. Also the eternal gentleman, who gives up his seat on the bus to the elderly without hesitation. Fantastic cook. He's done a lot of wonderful things for me over the years, and the majority of our relationship was a fantastic adventure.

Bestfriend- I'd call her my BFF, but it just makes me feel too cheesy. Do people still say that? Friends since the 9th grade. Lived together since September. Mildly alcoholic. Somewhat sheltered. Superchill. Altogether awesome person.

J- The other male housemate. Quick to anger. Also somewhat sheltered, not that you'd know it to look at him. A lightweight. Funny.

R- The ex-housemate. J's exgirlfriend. They were together for a number of years. R has returned home to her family recently after some worrisome mental issues. This is the reason that exboy and I continue to live together. I am not impressed.

About Me

My photo
Where emotions should be, there is only the quiet sense of distance. I shall remain unaffected in times of crisis, calm or caring. This is not a choice, but I am strangely okay with that. What else is there to say really? It's all been said before. We are not unique and delicate snowflakes. Even that is not an original thought. (brownie points for getting the reference) Maybe one day I will have something interesting to say here but the fact of the matter is, if you really want to know, read the blog. Or ask. Whatever.
